First post

I'll start by a little introduction.
When writing about myself, I always tend to freeze up. I guess it's my Swedish humble blood. I stagger out a few sentences, scared that people will say I'm bragging. Nobody who's seen me I write about myself could ever guess that I'm actually a pretty talented writer. At least in Swedish. But, I want you to get to know me so.. here we go.

My name is Sofie, as of tomorrow, the 10th of march- 08 I turn 19. I study art and I graduate this spring. My life is kind of hectic right now, witch doesn't really suit me as a person. I'm trying to balance school, my job, my jewelry making and my future plans and dreams.

Last month I fulfilled my dream of going to Africa. I joined a two week volunteer program in Ghana.I went there with my life long friend Cornelia(for whom the C in SofiesC stands for) As soon as I can I'll go back for a longer project. I worked at an orphanage for children ages 0-4. One girl was only 10 days! I lived in a (small!) family of 8 people. The village had no running water and the electricity came and went and I loved it.

Anyways, I'm drifting off subject. In this blog, I'll write about myself, my life but mostly about jewelry making.
I hope you'll enjoy it!

It really was increadible! It's been my dream too for a loong time so I was totally overwelmed by the whole experience. If anyone out there is hesitant about going, don't be, it's an experience of a lifetime.
